Adršpach Rock City from Wrocław: Which Day Trip to Choose

If you want a simple day out with a driver, book the Adršpach Rock City tour from Wrocław. It is the most-reviewed of the Adršpach trips, a small group of up to seven, and its listing promises about three hours at the rocks. For a guide who walks the trail with you, choose the small-group tour with a live guide below. Remember your passport or ID card: the rocks are in Czechia.
The place and the distance
Adršpach is a sandstone rock maze just across the Polish-Czech border. The tour listings put it at about 100 km from Wrocław and a drive of a little under two hours each way. One listing gives the loop trail as 3.5 km, the narrowest passage as 0.5 m wide and the walk as roughly two hours; another says to allow two to three hours. That fits a seven-hour day with around three hours on site, but no more. The park itself allows about 2.5 hours for the 3.5 km green loop and counts almost 2,000 steps on it (park FAQ).

Driver or guide?
Four of the five give you a driver rather than a guide on the trail. The Rock City tour with the driver starts at Hotel Monopol, and its listing calls the trail well marked; the same listing says the tour runs regularly only at weekends and that out of season no shops or restaurants are open. The Narnia tour has a live guide in English or Polish who walks the trail with the group, plus an audio guide in Spanish, Italian, Russian, German and French, and its listing says the route can be shortened to your fitness. A reviewer there mentions the stairs, and the listing itself warns that parts of the trail have many steps.
The private options
The private-driver tour lists hotel pickup, three hours of free time at the rocks and an optional lunch stop at a local restaurant, and its list of inclusions names admission and road tolls. The 8-hour tour hands you the entrance tickets on arrival, and its description mentions a Gothic gate, a waterfall, a viewpoint climb and a narrow rock passage at the end. Before you go
All five listings name people with mobility impairments as not suitable; one adds wheelchair users, and the private-driver tour also names people with claustrophobia, which matters at the 0.5 m passage. Bring comfortable shoes. The Narnia listing says the refreshment point is usually open from April to October and most stands take cash only, and it suggests Czech crowns, złoty or euros. The park’s own FAQ is stricter: foreign currency is not accepted on site, so change money into Czech crowns beforehand; cards work at the entrance, and there is a cash machine in the information centre. The food stands in front of the entrance open only in the summer season, and there are no refreshments on the trail itself. The official site says the park is open every day except 24 December, with the trail open 8 am to 4 pm from December to February. It sells online tickets for set time slots, and if a slot is full you cannot buy one on site either, so a tour that includes admission spares you that planning (Adršpach rocks). The boat trip on the rock lake runs from May to the end of October and is paid in Czech crowns, in cash only.
